OETA Hosts Debate Between Stephanie Bice and Kendra Horn

Live Debate Takes Place Thursday, October 8, 7 p.m.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) hosts Oklahoma State Senator Stephanie Bice (R) and incumbent Congresswoman Kendra Horn (D) for a live debate Thursday, October 8, 7 p.m. The candidates are competing to represent Oklahoma’s 5th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

OETA Debate: 5th Congressional District Stephanie Bice and Kendra Horn will be moderated by Susan Cadot and Paul Monies. Cadot has 30 years of experience as a television reporter, producer, anchor and currently serves as OETA’s vice president of production. Monies is a staff reporter for Oklahoma Watch covering state government and social policy issues and has 15 years’ of reporting experience with The Oklahoman and USA Today. Both campaigns have agreed to abide by debate rules set by the League of Women Voters which can be found at OETA.tv. Candidates, moderators and production staff will practice strict safety measures to help protect against the spread of COVID-19.

“OETA takes our public service mission seriously,” states Polly Anderson, OETA executive director. “As the state’s only PBS member station, we are also the only television station that does not run political advertising. We appreciate both candidates in the CD 5 race agreeing to debate and we are proud to be able to bring the discussion to all Oklahomans.”
