FastForward

FastForward is a complete online curriculum for high school equivalency test preparation aligned for GED® , HiSET® and TASC™ tests. FastForward allows students to study anywhere, anytime, on any device with internet access. FastForward includes interactive animations, videos, step-by-step instruction and plenty of practice in each of the assessed content areas: math, language arts, social studies and science. FastForward can be used by learners working independently, but it has many features designed to help adult education teachers use it with their students, including tools that help manage and track student progress. Research shows that 90 percent of GED® test-takers who prepare with FastForward pass and earn a GED® credential.

This is why KET is sharing these videos FREE of charge for use by partner stations and adult education professionals. They tell stories of adults who dropped out of school before graduating but later achieve the goal of a high school credential. Each used KET’s self-paced, online learning system, FastForward, with support from adult educators, family or friends.

Workplace Essential Skills

Workplace Essential Skills is an effective, mobile-friendly instructional resource, offering a curriculum on the language arts and math skills needed to be successful in high-demand careers. It can be implemented in adult education centers, employer training programs, corrections facilities, and rehab centers.

In addition to targeted academic skills for specific career sectors, Workplace Essential Skills includes instruction on the soft skills employers request, such as behavior and communication in a professional setting, working with a team, and critical thinking.

Workplace Essential Skills is an instructional media-based series that comprehensively addresses employment and workplace skills by featuring real people in job seeking and work situations. Students gain skills in finding jobs and succeeding at work through videos, instruction, enrichment activities, practice, and more.

KET’s multimedia work readiness curriculum ensures students can utilize reading, writing, and math skills within an occupational setting as well as prepare students with life skills like attitude, professionalism, ethics, communication, and interpersonal relations.
