Walking With Dinosaurs Returns to OETA with a Stunning New Series

PBS and BBC Studios are bringing dinosaurs back to life in a groundbreaking new way. Premiering June 16, 2025 at 8 p.m. CT on OETA, OETA.tv, and the PBS App, the all-new Walking With Dinosaurs is a six-part series that reimagines one of television’s most beloved science documentaries.

With state-of-the-art visual effects, cutting-edge paleontology, and cinematic storytelling, this documentary series invites viewers on an unforgettable journey through deep time — from the towering predators of ancient Morocco to the icy forests of prehistoric Alaska.

Narrated by Tony Award-winner Bertie Carvel, the new Walking With Dinosaurs combines real fossil discoveries with dramatic storytelling to reveal the lives of some of the most iconic — and surprising — dinosaur species ever found. Each episode focuses on a specific dinosaur whose remains are actively being uncovered by today’s leading scientists.

We’re living in a golden age of paleontology — with around 50 new dinosaur species discovered each year. Walking With Dinosaurs (2025) brings this science to life, offering a deeper understanding of how dinosaurs lived, evolved, and vanished.
