ONR PROGRAMMING BULLETIN FOR February 8, 2019

Email share

Oklahoma’s only statewide news broadcast, the Oklahoma News Report (ONR), airs 7 p.m. CST, every Friday night on the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA). This award-winning broadcast offers an in-depth exploration of news and issues affecting all Oklahomans.

Some of the stories covered on this week’s Oklahoma News Report include:

  • Gov. Stitt has unveiled his first executive budget and for most state agencies, funding remains flat. While common education is getting more money, educators say there’s not enough new funding going straight into the classrooms.
  • A discovery made in 1974 has produced artifacts dating back to the mid-14th century that show Native Americans in what is now Oklahoma were using astronomical charts as a way to measure time.
  • Tinker Air Force Base has rolled out their policy regarding drones flying near the airbase. Air Force officials want to emphasize that Tinker is a “no drone zone.”

Join us Friday night for these and other stories, business news and more on ONR.
