Fiddler on the Roof (1971)

Saturday, May 6th at 9pm

Oscar-winning adaptation of the Broadway musical about life among the Jewish community of a pre-revolutionary Russian village. A poor milkman (Chaim Topol), determined to find adequate husbands for his daughters, consults a long-established matchmaker. He also has a word or two with God.
 


 

West Side Story (1961)

Saturday, May 13th at 9pm

A musical in which a modern-day Romeo and Juliet are involved in New York street gangs. On the jarring streets of the upper west side, a couple of gangs battle for control of the turf. The situation becomes complex when one gang member falls in love with the rival's sister.

 


 

Kind Hearts and Coronets (1949)

Saturday, May 20th at 9pm

Louis Mazzini (Dennis Price) was cut off from his aristocratic family when his mother eloped with an Italian singer. After the family refused to let her be buried in the family mausoleum, Louis avenges his mother's death by attempting to murder every family member (all played by Alec Guinness) who stands between himself and the fortune. His plans go amiss when he finds himself torn between his longtime love (Joan Greenwood) and the widow of one of his victims.
 


 

The Birdcage (1996)

Saturday, May 27th at 9pm

Engaged couple Val Goldman (Dan Futterman) and Barbara Keeley (Calista Flockhart) introduce their future in-laws. Val's father, Armand (Robin Williams), a gay Miami drag club owner, pretends to be straight and attempts to hide his relationship with Albert (Nathan Lane), his life partner and the club's flamboyant star attraction, to please Barbara's father, controversial Republican Sen. Kevin Keeley (Gene Hackman).
