OETA Brings the Cuteness with Animal Babies

Email share

It is an indisputable fact that baby animals are cute. The corners of the Internet are filled with videos of adorable newborn animals taking their first shaky steps or being cuddled lovingly by their mother. The hardest of hearts melts at the sight of a puppy or kitten or a spotted hyena cub. If you’re unsure about that last one, the new three-part series, Animal Babies will change your mind.

Animal Babies premieres 7 p.m., Aug. 28 with “First Steps.” See how baby animals learn to understand their surroundings in environments ranging from Africa to Sri Lanka to Iceland.

Episode two of Animal Babies, “Testing the Limits,” airs 7 p.m., Sept. 4. This episode follows the new challenges baby animals face once they can get around on their own. Every day brings new trials like searching for food, surviving harsh environments and bonding with their family.

Finally, episode three, “New Frontiers,” 7 p.m., Sept. 11, follows the baby animals as they reach the end of their first year of life and branch off from the comfort of their mothers to explore the great unknown on their own.
