In honor of Women’s History Month, OETA is proud to feature programs that celebrate women’s stories. These programs offer inspiring and entertaining tales of female empowerment, resilience, and success. From fan favorites like Call the Midwife, and Sanditon, to the critically acclaimed Marie Antoinette, there’s something here for every viewer.
Call the Midwife
First up is Call the Midwife. It’s 1968, and the nuns and nurses from Nonnatus House return for more midwifery and family life. The midwives welcome a new nun, Sister Veronica, and tension in Poplar arises following the effects of Enoch Powell’s “Rivers of Blood” speech. Call the Midwife premieres Sunday, March 19 at 7:00 pm.
