New Season of Gallery America Kicks Off with Tyson Meade

Email share

Gallery America is back with a new season - and - a new host: Robert Reid. We are very excited for everyone who doesn't already know Reid, to get to know him through the lens that is Gallery America. His love of all things art and music burst through in each interview and episode, shining a uniquely bright light on Oklahoma creatives.

Gallery America's sixth season kicks off Thursday, July 2 at 7:00 PM with Oklahoma darling Tyson Meade. He has been a staple of Oklahoma’s alternative rock music scene who may be best known for his band, Chainsaw Kittens. You know him as an artist, performer, songwriter, and musician. He is all of those things and so much more. To date, Meade has been a part of several bands, recorded many albums, taught English as a second language in China, and ran for Congress. Now? He paints, and goodness does he paint wildly and wonderfully.

“Tyson's zest to create is an irresistible spectacle," remarks Reid. "Watching him throw paint at a plywood canvas, or scratching it with a twig, reminded me of the same energy he took to the stage with the Chainsaw Kittens."
