On Friday, June 4 at 9 pm, our June membership drive begins. As a member, you may be wondering what your support actually means. Well, at its core, supporting OETA means investing in early childhood education, Oklahoma documentaries, the arts, and local journalism. We are mission-driven to be Oklahoma’s storyteller—connecting Oklahomans to ideas and encourage lifelong learning. It’s a large task which your support makes possible. In addition to traditional donations, there are other ways you can support OETA.
First, you can donate your car, truck, boat, RV, tractor or just about anything with an engine. It doesn’t even have to be running. The process is easy and FREE for you—we’ll take care of the towing. Plus, you’ll receive a tax write-off. To learn more or donate your vehicle, visit OETA.tv/vehicledonation or call (844) 227-6382. Second, you can make OETA a beneficiary in your will or estate plan. Planned gifts like these provide an enduring legacy that will live on to uphold the standards of public broadcasting in our state for the benefit of others in years to come. To get started, email Chad Haney at chaney@oeta.tv or visit OETA.tv/plannedgiving to learn more.
As a valued member of OETA, I hope you’re taking full advantage of OETA membership perks we have to offer! Odyssey is our fantastic monthly magazine that is available to all members. Members who donate $60+ per year are eligible for OETA Passport. This member benefit gives you extended access to over 1,500 episodes of PBS programs online and through the PBS App. It’s a great way to catch up on your favorite shows or binge your favorite series. If you’re a member, but haven’t activated OETA Passport, visit PBS.org/passport. Lastly, as a member, you have first access to select virtual events with the casts and filmmakers of your favorite programs. Keep an eye on your inbox for these exclusive invitations.
Again, donations of all types fuels our mission. Many thanks for your continued support of OETA.
