Grow, Survive and Learn with OETA

The three-part series, The Amazing Human Body will air back-to-back beginning at 7 p.m., Sept. 19 on the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA).

Part one of this series, titled Grow, will start by exploring how humans begin life as a single cell and, through the course of a lifetime, grow into beings made up of more than 37 trillion cells. This episode will also delve into new discoveries that can help humans live longer, healthier lives.

The second episode, Survive, airs at 8 p.m. This episode brings viewers on a journey to discover the wonders the human body goes through every day to stay alive and healthy. From fighting infections to repairing damage, human bodies have remarkable arsenals that allow them to survive against all kinds of external threats.

The final episode, Learn, airs at 9 p.m. and examines how experiences shape the brain and body together, allowing them to adapt to the outside environment and develop new skills. This episode also investigates how the brain forms memories by storing and processing billions of pieces of information every second.

Tune in to OETA Sept. 19 for an evening of education and discovery and learn how humans become bigger, stronger and smarter.
