THE AFRICAN AMERICANS: MANY RIVERS TO CROSS
Sunday, June 19, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., OETA-HD

Written and presented by Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr., the six-hour series The African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross explores the evolution of the African-American people, as well as the multiplicity of cultural institutions, political strategies, and religious and social perspectives they developed — forging their own history, culture and society against unimaginable odds. Oklahoma civil rights pioneer and OU professor Dr. George Henderson brings a local perspective to the program. As co-host of this local marathon event, Henderson shares his experiences desegregating Norman and working to integrate the University of Oklahoma.

ENDEAVOUR
Sunday, June 19, 8 p.m., OETA-HD

Shaun Evans is back in Endeavour as the young detective Endeavour Morse who was last seen isolated and languishing in prison, after being framed for the murder of Chief Constable Richard Standish. He is joined once again by Roger Allam, who plays Morse’s partner, DI Fred Thursday. Season 3 will once again be comprised of four episodes – entitled “Ride,” “Arcadia,” “Prey” and “Coda” – and takes place in 1967.

THE TUNNEL
Sunday, June 19, 9:30 p.m., OETA-HD

The critically acclaimed British crime drama The Tunnel debuts Sunday, June 19, 2016, at 9:30 p.m. CT on OETA-HD. The Tunnel is set against the backdrop of Europe in crisis. When a prominent French politician is found dead in the middle of the Channel Tunnel, straddling the border between the UK and France, detectives Karl Roebuck, played by Stephen Dillane (“Game of Thrones”) and Elise Wassermann, played by Clémence Poésy (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Parts I and II) are sent to investigate on behalf of their respective countries.

ODD SQUAD AGENTS OF CHANGE

PBS KIDS are jumping into summer with a new, one-hour event of Odd Squad, which includes an encore of the finale of season one, and the premiere of season two. When Olive and Otto set off to run their own Odd Squad bureau, Ms. O must find two new recruits who can fill their shoes. 

THE GREEKS

In this landmark event from National Geographic Studios, historians and archaeologists, actors and athletes, scientists and artists launch a groundbreaking exploration of the ancient Greeks’ journey — not just to better understand their past, but to discover how their legacy illuminates our present, and will shape our future. 

OSIYO: VOICES OF THE CHEROKEE PEOPLE
Thursday, June 23, 7 p.m., OETA-HD

Osiyo, Voices of the Cherokee People is embedded with a group of cyclists from the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians from North Carolina as they embark upon a life-changing journey. The cyclists retrace the steps of their ancestors on the Trail of Tears, traveling nearly 1,000 miles on their bikes, from Georgia to Oklahoma in the heat of the summer.
