Email share

There will be no 25% budget cut to Oklahoma's medicaid program.  Along with flat funding for corrections and common education with a slight increase for mental health are the highlights in the fiscal year 2017 state budget.

There are scores of other state agencies who took cuts ranging from 5% to an average of 11 to 16 percent which includes the mid year budget failures from the currentl fiscal year.

In all the state budget continues to fall now totalling $6,778,186,009.00 .  That is how much the legislature is spending, the rest of the budget includes billions more in funds that are automatically directed to programs including road and bridge construction and common education.  It also does not include the billions in federal matching funds that flow to the state.
