OETA Launches Search for New Executive Director
The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) is beginning an exciting new chapter. We are officially launching a nationwide search for our next Executive Director and General Manager — a leader who will continue to uphold and advance OETA’s proud tradition of public service, innovation, and educational excellence.
Since our founding in 1956, OETA has remained Oklahoma’s trusted source for educational programming, civic engagement, and storytelling that connects communities across our state. Today, more than 650,000 viewers each week rely on OETA for trusted news, cultural enrichment, and lifelong learning opportunities. As technology, audiences, and needs continue to evolve, OETA remains committed to delivering high-quality, accessible content to all Oklahomans.
The Executive Director will guide OETA’s statewide network of four transmitters and 14 translator stations, oversee strategic planning, fiscal management, and innovation initiatives, and work to strengthen OETA’s service to the public. In addition, it is expected that the Executive Director will be appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Friends of OETA, Inc. (FOETA), the independent nonprofit organization dedicated to raising philanthropic support for OETA’s mission.
