Email share

OETA has announced the lineup for its annual summer membership event, AugustFest, running from Thursday August 6 through Sunday August 16. Remember to show your support this AugustFest and keep the programs you love running through 2016!

View full schedules, program details and sneak a peek at our Thank You gifts.

The special event programs during AUGUSTFEST include new performances from iconic musicians, new collections designed to help improve health and well being, plus several unique opportunities for building DIY skills.

The funds raised during the membership drive enable OETA to purchase PBS programming like Downton Abbey, Ken Burns’ documentaries, NOVA, Nature and syndicated British series. The goal for OETA’s annual summer fundraiser is $500,000.

Augustfest 2015 programs include Simon & Garfunkel: The Concert in Central Park, Monday August 10 at 7 p.m.; Downton Abbey Rediscovered, Sunday 10 at 8 p.m.; Doc Martin’s Portwenn, Thursday August 6 at 9 p.m.; Motown 25, Wednesday August 12 at 7 p.m.; 60s & 70s Slow Songs, Wednesday August 12 at 7 p.m.; Starlight Ballroom, Tuesday August 11 at 7 p.m.; Ken Burns’ The Civil War, Sunday August 9 at 8 a.m.; Frank Sinatra: The Voice of Our Time, Thursday August 6 at 10 p.m.; and much more.

“Because of the generous support from our members, OETA can remain the place Oklahomans rely on for programming that truly make a difference in our lives – from the PBS classics you love, to essential information about our Oklahoma communities,” Daphne Dowdy, OETA Foundation President, said. ‘Now more than ever, we hope to hear from Oklahomans during AUGUSTFEST 2015.”

The member drive concludes with the Best of Augustfest, Sunday August 16, featuring the programs Oklahomans select as their top shows.
