The Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) recently named Eric Waltman as Production Operator.

“We’re very excited to have Eric on board,” said Jeff Morava, production manager, OETA. “Eric’s experience with national networks will go a long way in expanding our production capabilities and allow us to take on more local content.”

Waltman began his career as an Associate Producer for the Discovery Channel show, Street Outlaws. He went on to work as a Production Assistant for ABC/Disney and later as a Production Assistant for Evolution Media, a production company that works on shows for networks such as Bravo, TLC and Lifetime.

“OETA is exactly where I want to be,” said Waltman. “To be back home at a station that brings great educational shows to Oklahoma and to work on quality local programming is a great place to be.”

Waltman earned his bachelor of arts degree in Film Production from Oklahoma City University.

When he’s not in a dark editing studio, Waltman enjoys photography and hopes to one day earn a degree in child psychology.
