Obama in Cushing

President Obama made a stopover in Oklahoma this week as part of his four-state energy tour. The president used a pipe yard near Cushing as a back-drop to defend his call for a diversified energy policy and announce his administration is fast-tracking completion of the southern leg of Trans-Canada's Keystone XL pipeline. While in Oklahoma, the president explained how oil production is a key element of what he calls his "all-of-the-above" energy policy. David May, Director of Energy Programs at the Oklahoma City University Meinders School of Business joined Dick Pryor to discuss the president’s speech.

Feral Hogs

Problems with feral hogs were first reported in rural southeastern Oklahoma in the 1980's. Now, landowners in all 77 counties are becoming aware of the damage these wild mammals can cause. Feral hogs are even starting to move into urban areas, just as they have in Texas. As the population of feral swine explodes, the Department of Agriculture is trying to find ways to reduce their numbers. But, it isn't easy.

It's a group willing to work just for food, around the clock, seven days a week to get the job done.
