Music and arts education programs face more cuts in public schools, forcing many districts to rely on the private sector for creative instruction. The Tulsa Symphony recently paid to bring internationally renowned music teacher Roberta Guaspari to teach some workshops in the city. Muskogee Sadler Arts Academy (2:57)

Most of the students attending Sadler Arts Academy in Muskogee come from families living below the poverty line, or with one parent incarcerated. Sadler is a magnet school where students are exposed to a variety of arts and cultures. This year, the focus is on Russian culture, so the students staged a performance of “The Nutcracker” ballet.

Remembering Lennon Live Interview with Wayne Coyne (5:33)
