The 20th annual Education Week's Quality Counts survey ranks Oklahoma public education at 46th in the nation. State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister said the ranking was not a surprise, "We will not see anything different until we do something different. "

O.U. Nazi Art Controversy May Be Nearing End

A compromise has reportedly been reached to settle a lawsuit against the University of Oklahoma for a painting that is alleged to be stolen Nazi loot. Federal Judge Joe Heaton has put the case on hold until late February next year after the reported deal had been reached. Leone Meyer charges her family owned the painting when it was stolen from their Paris home by Nazi's during WW II.
