Spring Goes Live April 29th on OETA

Email share

It’s April and the signs of spring in Oklahoma are everywhere; flowers blooming, lawnmowers humming, birds chirping and people sneezing. And, during a special, three-day, multi-platform LIVE event, the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) is offering a front row seat as Mother Nature wakes up.

NATURE: American Spring LIVE will air for three consecutive nights, Monday, April 29 – Wednesday, May 1 at 7 p.m. on OETA. It can also be viewed LIVE on our Facebook page, facebook.com/OETAOK/.

Acclaimed news anchor Juju Chang will host this event with on-camera experts showing springtime phenomena in ecosystems ranging from the Sierra Nevada Mountains to the Everglades, from inner-city parks to remote wilderness preserves.

A diverse group of researchers and citizen scientists will investigate how a wide range of organisms respond to the change of seasons. Each episode is built around a central theme chosen to reveal how the new season triggers extraordinary biological change.
