Peer Through the Iron Curtain in New OETA Drama, Line of Separation

Email share

After the fall of the Third Reich, Germany was ravaged by war and divided down the middle amongst the Allied forces with the Soviet Union taking the west. Line of Separation answers the question, what was life like on the other side of the Iron Curtain.

The new international drama, Line of Separation, premieres Oct. 27 at 10 p.m. on OETA. German with English subtitles, this six-part drama takes place in the fictional, small German town of Tannbach, whose inhabitants are cruelly divided, both figuratively and literally by post WWII politics. This gripping historical drama explores the devastating and sobering effects that decades of conflict has on this close-knit community.

Based on true-life events, Line of Separation shows families and friends torn apart by old loyalties and the harshness of war.
