OETA’s FRONTLINE Examines Controversial Saudi Crown Prince

Email share

Part progressive, part military strong man, Mohammed Bin Salman, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia has been a divisive and complex world player since assuming power in 2015.

His maneuvering has been at the center of several international conflicts and wars. An investigation by the United Nations points to the Crown Prince as the one who ordered the brutal murder of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. And, journalists and officials in the United States fear that he has too much influence on American foreign policy in the Middle East.

FRONTLINE investigates the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia in a new two-hour special, airing at 8 p.m., Oct. 1 on the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA).

One year after the murder of Khashoggi, FRONTLINE investigates the rise and rule of Salman, examining the crown prince’s vision for the future, his handling of dissent, his relationship with the United States and his ties to the brutal killing that shocked the world.
