The Oklahoma State Department of Education (SDE) has joined forces with the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA) to produce the monthly broadcast Education Matters.
Education Matters, hosted by Oklahoma State Superintendent of Public Instruction Joy Hofmeister, will focus on important topics and key initiatives for public education across the state.
This month’s episode, airing 7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 21, will focus on the importance of parent, family and community engagement.
This month’s guests include:
· Melissa Abdo, Jenks Parent Legislative Action Committee.
· Jessica Robinson, educator, Altus High School.
· Christian Coleman, freshman, University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond.
Education Matters airs monthly on OETA every third Thursday at 7 p.m. and is rebroadcast the following Wednesday at 12:30 p.m.
