Email share

Oklahoma’s only statewide news broadcast, the Oklahoma News Report (ONR), airs 7 p.m. CST, every Friday night on the Oklahoma Educational Television Authority (OETA). This award-winning broadcast offers an in-depth exploration of news and issues affecting all Oklahomans.

Some of the stories covered on this week’s Oklahoma News Report include:

  • A coalition of business and faith leaders are pushing state lawmakers to adopt a package of bill aimed at lowering Oklahoma’s prison incarceration rate, which currently is the highest in the nation.
  • More changes could be coming to Oklahoma’s new liquor laws amid predictions that many of the state’s retail package stores are in danger of going out of business.
  • Friction is growing between Oklahoma House Democrats and Senate Republicans concerning bills to increase pay for state employees and provide cost of living adjustments for retirees.
  • And, finally, we take a look at a first-of-its-kind building that is saving residents on their utility bills as Oklahoma housing slowly goes green.

Join us Friday night for these and other stories, business news and more on ONR.
