NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The Chickasaw Nation in Oklahoma says its wholly-owned Chickasaw Nation Industries has purchased the engineering firm Corvid Technologies, LLC, of Mooresville, North Carolina.

Terms of the acquisition announced Friday were not released.

Corvid specializes in modeling and simulation services for federal and commercial customers and has developed proprietary software around fluid dynamics, high-speed computational physics and structural biomechanics.

Chickasaw Nation Gov. Bill Anoatubby (ANNA'-tubby) said the acquisition is part of Chickasaw Nation Industries' strategy to develop a portfolio of high-technology companies with growth potential.
