Scott Pruitt Resigns
Last Updated by
The end for Scott Pruitt at the Environmental Protection Agency came in the form of a presidential tweet:
I have accepted the resignation of Scott Pruitt as the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. Within the Agency Scott has done an outstanding job, and I will always be thankful to him for this.
The President went on say that Pruitts Deputy, Andrew Wheeler will take over as acting EPA Administrator next week. 14 ethics probes are underway involving Pruitt's spending, his travel and use of lodgings owned by an EPA lobbyist and personnel issues.
