FAIRVIEW, Okla. (AP) - A 4.2 magnitude earthquake is among five that have rattled Oklahoma.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that the 4.2 magnitude quake happened Tuesday northwest of Fairview at 2:45 p.m. Two more of the quakes happened near the same town - a 2.9 quake and a 2.6 quake.

Earlier Tuesday, a 2.8 quake struck near Prague at 6:41 a.m. and another hit near Mooreland, registering a 2.6 magnitude at 8:09 a.m.

No injuries or damage were immediately reported.

Oklahoma's earthquakes have been linked to the injection of wastewater underground from oil and gas production.

State regulators have recommended reducing the volume or shutting down some of the disposal wells.
