On July 14, 2016 the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced nominations for the 68th Primetime Emmy® Awards, for which PBS programs received 26 nominations.
PBS programs receiving multiple nominations include DOWNTON ABBEY, THE FINAL SEASON on MASTERPIECE (10 nominations), SHERLOCK ON MASTERPIECE: THE ABOMINABLE BRIDE (6 nominations), JACKIE ROBINSON (2 nominations) and LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER “Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton” (2 nominations).

The Primetime Emmy® Awards will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and will broadcast live on Sunday, September 18, 2016 on ABC from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
